A gorgeous pearl and diamond ring from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This stunning piece is made of platinum and holds a cluster of five sparkling diamonds surrounded by eighteen natural pearls. The pearls have a soft color ranging from copper to light pink with a wonderful luster and are set on hidden posts. The five old mine cut diamonds at the center of the ring are bezel set in a joined, milgrained mounting and have H/I color with VS-SI range clarity with a total approximate weight of 1.50ctw. The ring's shoulders are decorated by etched floral detailing and continue into a smoothly polished, tapered band. This wonderful statement piece has a very lovely Victorian look and would make a perfect addition to any collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 8.5 but it could easily be re-sized. The pearl and diamond centerpiece measures 1" tall by 3/4" long and lies about 1/4" off the finger when worn. The band tapers down to just under 2mm at the back of the shank.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting and all of the pearls and diamonds are intact and securely set.
