An unusual padlock bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This stylish bangle bracelet is made of 18k vibrant yellow gold, and features a circular centerpiece at the front detailed with intricate enamel and engraving. The centerpiece is decorated with an intricate, hand painted enamel depiction of two winged cherubs holding up an etched basket, which contains flowers and fruits represented by bead set colored stones, including rubies, sapphires, pearls, and an emerald. Flanking the centerpiece on each side are scrolling supports, set with more pearls and rubies, that continue into the squared bangle. The hinged bracelet opens at a push clasp at the side, allowing it to fit comfortably around the wrist. This creative and beautifully made bracelet would be right at home in the fashion-forward woman's collection!

Measurements: The inner circumference of the bracelet (where a wrist would rest) measures approximately 7 3/4 and would fit nicely on a medium/average sized wrist. The centerpiece measures 1 1/4" in diameter and the bangle measures just over 1/4" thick at the back.

Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. The push clasp fastens securely and is in good working condition. All of the accent stones are intact and securely set. There is a natural patina on the surface of the gold, which is a normal characteristic of antique jewelry.
