A wonderful and unique ruby and diamond ring from the late Victorian (ca1880) era! This lovely ring is crafted in 18k yellow gold and features a vertical row of two delicate diamonds and a ruby stone line the center. The stones resemble small orbs, creating a beautiful and fanciful design. The central ruby displays a wonderful striking reddish-pink hue, which further adds to the overall charm of the piece. The two diamonds are old mine cuts, and have an approximate weight of 0.50ctw. Each stone is held within a prong setting that lets the stones sit raised above the surface and the design is completed with a simple smooth band. A sweet and feminine piece, it has a charming look that would make a special addition to any antique ring collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 8.75, but could easily be resized up or down if desired. The row of stones measures a little less than 5/8" tall and 1/4" wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to the diamonds and ruby stone, all three of which are intact.
