A beautiful ruby and diamond star pendant/charm from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! Crafted in 18k yellow gold, this piece resembles a small, delicate star. The center of the star features a .30ct cushion cut Burmese ruby. The stone is held within a bead setting, and displays a striking pinkish-red hue. The remainder of the pendant/charm's surface is encrusted with small rose cut diamonds, which are also held within bead settings. Overall, the diamonds have an approximate total carat weight of .20ctw. The top of the star features a complementary bail, which would allow the piece to attach to a favorite chain! A marvelous piece, this pendant/charm would make a fantastic addition to any Victorian-era jewelry collection!
Measurements: The star pendant measures 5/8" long and 3/4" tall (including the bail).
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. The central ruby, and all of the diamonds are secure and free of any chips. The complementary bail is intact and in working order.
