Victorian 18k Amethyst and Diamond Initial Inlay Ring

A gorgeous and unique amethyst initial ring from the Victorian (ca1880) era! At the center of this lovely 14k yellow gold piece is an oval-shaped amethyst stone. The amethyst is beautifully faceted, catching the light when worn, and inlaid in the table facet is a gothic script initial "W" with rose cut diamonds set in a floating gold mounting. The combination of the gold setting and purple hue of the stone compliment each other perfectly! At each shoulder is a decorative pillar design, which is complete with cutouts and engraved detail that extends along the outside of the band, the inside of which is stamped "18". A simply stunning ring, it is perfect for any amethyst lover!

Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 5.5 but could easily be re-sized.

Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or the amethyst stone, which is intact and securely set.
