Victorian 15kt/Sterling Topped Diamond Starburst Pin/Pendant 3.50ctw

A gorgeous diamond starburst pendant pin from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Crafted in 15kt yellow gold and topped in sterling silver, this beautiful piece is comprised of 10 Old Mine Cut diamonds that surround a single larger Old Mine Cut center stone with another that dangles from bottom. The diamonds are both bead set and belcher set and range in size, weighing a total approximate weight of 3.0ctw. The diamond star is made of silver and has .50ctw of rose cut diamonds. It has a wonderful, slightly convex shape with a fabulous 3-dimensional look, and the ten spokes each featuring a belcher set diamond add wonderful flare. This naturally patinaed, magnificent piece may be worn as a pendant or as a pin. It would make a perfect addition to any collection!  

Measurements: The piece measures approximately 1 1/2" in diameter. 

Condition: The overall condition of the pendant pin is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling topped gold setting and all of the diamonds are intact. The sterling silver has a natural patina, typical of pieces from the Victorian era. The pin clasp and bail are secure and in good working condition.
