An absolutely gorgeous locket from the Victorian (ca1880) era! The locket, which is made of 15kt yellow gold, has a raised 6-point starburst that sits on the front surface. The starburst is encrusted with 26 Mine Cut diamonds and a single natural pearl resting at the center. The lovely diamond and pearl combination makes a spectacular statement in person! When opened, the interior reveals two spaces to store special photographs behind removable glass frames. At the top of the piece is a fluted bail that snaps shut in the back, perfect for hanging the locket from a favorite gold chain. The gold setting has a high karat bloom finish, which gives it a rich, bold color. It's simply a beautiful Victorian piece!
Measurements: The piece hangs 2 1/8" long, including the bail at the top. The oval-shaped locket (excluding the bail) measures 1 1/2" tall, 1 1/4" wide, and 1/2" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the locket is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. The pearl and diamond design is intact, and the bail at the top is securely attached. Both glass frames inside are intact and in good condition.
