A beautiful moonstone ring from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This lovely ring is made of 14kt yellow gold holds a moonstone cabochon at its center in a sterling silver mounting. The elongated moonstone is oval in shape and has a wonderful pearly white color and iridescent flash. It rests in a raised claw prong setting, which suspends the stone above a mirror backing with a ridged gold band that tapers in slightly as it nears the back. A perfect everyday piece for the moonstone lover, it would make a stylish addition to any collection!
Measurements: The ring has a large finger size of 6.5, but could easily be resized up or down if desired. The moonstone center measures approximately 5/8" tall, just over 3/8" wide, and rests 1/4" above the finger when worn. The band measures 10mm wide at each shoulder, tapering in to 2mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and silver setting or to the moonstone, which is secure and intact.
