An exquisite yellow sapphire ring from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! This outstanding ring is crafted in 14k gold, and displays a magnificent prong set natural yellow sapphire surrounded by a diamond border. The Ceylon (Sri Lankan) sapphire weighs 3.96ct, and is beautifully faceted into a oval modified brilliant cut. Naturally stunning, the sapphire is a no-heat stone, displaying a luscious shade of vibrant lemon-yellow. Surrounding the central stone are 14 round single cut diamonds held within shared prong settings, forming a sparkling halo. The diamonds weigh approximately 0.50ctw. Accompanying the yellow sapphire is a GIA Gemological Sapphire Origin Report issued by GIA (Gemological Institutue of America) in July 2024, which confirms the stone isn’t heated and is Ceylon for origin. A truly magnificent ring, it is positively breathtaking in person, and would look incredible worn on special occasions!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 7.75, but could easily be resized if desired. The oval-shaped yellow sapphire and diamond centerpiece measures approximately 3/4" tall, 1/2" wide, and rests about 1/4" above the finger when worn. The tapered gold band measures 1.72mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. The yellow sapphire and diamonds are intact, securely set, and free of chips or scratches.
