Born in 1892, French jeweler, Louis Rousselet, is know for his intricate bead-work. Starting as an apprentice in 1900 at the age of 8, Rousselet worked diligently on lamp-work beads and continued perfecting his craft. In 1922, Rousselet opened his own workshop, which employed nearly 800 employees at its peak. Denise Rousselet, Rousselet's daughter, carried her father's legacy and company into the mid 1970s. Unique and beautiful, Rousselet's pieces are highly collectable and desirable.
A one-of-a-kind Vintage (1950s) era necklace by French jeweler, Louis Rousselet! Crafted in brass, this necklace features two varieties of colorful enameled beads. The second bead variety features a unique "tubing" design. The surface of the tubed bead is decorated with Etruscan-style beadwork and teal, deep blue, and cream enameling. The unique necklace also features black and royal blue disc-beads and round crystal and brass beads. The necklace secures with a brass, textured screw clasp. A phenomenal piece, this signed item would be perfect for any Vintage jewelry collector!

Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the brass setting. All of the beads are secure and free from any chips or damage. The screw clasp is secure and in working order.
