A stunning diamond and sapphire ring from the Edwardian (ca1910s) era! This beautiful ring is crafted in platinum and features two, central old mine cut diamonds running vertically down the centerpiece of the ring. The diamonds are held within milgrained bezel settings. The two stones have K/L color, VS2-SI1 clarity, and an approximate total carat weight of 2.50ctw. Surrounding the two, central diamonds are 14 bead set full cut diamonds, which have an approximate total carat weight of 0.42ctw. The lovely diamond border draws the eye to the marvelous stones. Adoring the shoulders of the ring are deep blue French cut sapphires, which are held in channel settings. The gallery of the ring features an intricate scrolling motif cutout design, and the band features an etched foliage design carrying approximately 2/3 around the band. The remainder of the band is smooth and simple. The inside of the shank is stamped with a maker's mark reading "MPC". A unique and lovely ring, it perfectly captures the essence of the Edwardian era!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 8, but could easily be resized up or down as desired. The rectangular centerpiece measures 3/4" tall and 5/8" wide, and rests about 1/4" above the finger when worn. The band measures 1.51mm wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting or to the diamonds and sapphires, all of which are intact.
