An absolutely gorgeous solitaire diamond engagement ring from the Early Victorian (ca1850) era! This beautiful piece is made of bright 18kt yellow gold and holds a single oval old mine cut diamond at the center of a sterling silver collet setting. The ring features an attractively simple scrolling cutout pattern on each shoulder that perfectly frames the center stone. The sparkling diamond has a carat weight of approximately 0.95ct and has k color and SI2 clarity. The ring was appraised in May of 2024 by an independent and accredited GIA-certified Gemologist and has a stated retail replacement value of $6,500.00. A stunning Early Victorian version of a classic solitaire design, the ring looks beautiful when worn and would make a very special engagement ring!

Measurements: The ring is a finger size 6 but could easily be re-sized up or down.

Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and silver setting or to the diamond, which is intact and securely set.
