Victorian 18kt Natural No Heat Burma Ruby + Diamond Enamel Ring

SKU: 39573

$10,995

An outstanding gemstone ring from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This incredible piece is crafted in vibrant 18kt gold, and has an elongated navette-style setting. Resting at the center is a gorgeous non-heated natural Burma ruby, which is a mixed Cushion Cut, weighing approximately 1.06ct. The stone is prong set and displays a luscious color with a rich, saturated pink-red hue. Accompanying the ruby is a Prestige Gemstone Report issued by AGL (American Gemological Laboratories) in January 2017, which confirms the gemstone's stated characteristics.

Four old Cushion Mine Cut diamonds surround the central ruby, accentuating the shape of the centerpiece. All four of the prong set diamonds have a bright and lively appearance, sparkling beautifully as they catch the light. Collectively, the diamonds weigh approximately 1.10ctw and have an estimated G-H range color and VS-SI range clarity. They are the perfect compliment to the colorful ruby center!

The original black tracery enameled motif decorates the edges of the centerpiece, continuing along the sides of the band. The rich black enameled accents provide quite a striking effect, adding further depth and contrast to the overall design. When worn, the ring looks positively magnificent, and the piece would make an impressive addition to any Victorian jewelry collection!

Measurements: The ring has a finger size 5.75. Due to the unique enameled design, re-sizing is not recommended. The elongated centerpiece measures approximately 3/4" tall and 1/2" wide, and rests 1/4" above the finger when worn. The gold band measures approximately 3mm wide in the back.

Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, is no apparent damage to the gold setting. The ruby and diamonds are all intact and securely set. The original black tracery enameled design remains remarkably well-preserved, without any noticeable chips or scratches.
