A truly gorgeous ring from the Edwardian (ca1910s) era! Crafted in 18k yellow gold and platinum, this ring features a central no heat 2.35ct emerald cut sapphire. The sapphire is held within a milgrained bezel-setting and displays phenomenal cornflower blue hue. The sapphire is surrounded by an octagonal-centerpiece, which is encrusted 1.20ctw of rose cut diamonds. All of the diamonds are held in place by bead-settings. Each shoulder of the ring features 2 additional rose cut diamonds, which are also bead set. The gallery of the ring is adorned with scrolling-motif etchings, and the gold band is smooth and simple. The inside of the shank features 2 small hallmarks, which depict an owl and a delicate flower. A fantastic piece, this ring would make a unique and colorful engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring is a size 7.75, but could easily be resized. The tapered band has a width of 1.65mm.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold or platinum setting. The central sapphire, and all of the diamonds are secure and intact.
