Established in Verona in 1879, Italian jewelry designer Carlo Weingrill, was a master of 18kt gold jewelry. Each handcrafted piece features top quality craftsmanship that has been handed down today through the generations. Carlo began working as an apprentice in a goldsmith shop at the age of 11 and in 1879, at 22, he decided to open his own factory. Carlo Weingrill was the original manufacturer behind some of the most classic and recognizable designs in jewelry including Bulgari’s famous tubogas-style bracelets, necklaces and rings, various gold cuffs for Tiffany & Co. and the Trinity bangle bracelets for Cartier. He died in 1924, and his two sons, Armando and Gastone, took over, transforming the small artisan business into a high-powered industry, gaining a worldwide reputation for fine workmanship. Carlo's granddaughter, Paola Weingrill, who grew up in the jewelry factory, runs the business today and still employs the same handcrafted artisanship into each piece.
An iconic gooseneck bracelet made by the esteemed designer Carlo Weingrill! This striking cuff-style bracelet is crafted in vibrant 18k yellow gold, and has a ridged gooseneck design that carries along the entire length of the piece. Each end of the bracelet is flexible and can be pulled further open to allow for easy and comfortable wear. The end of the cuff is stamped with a "750" purity mark, the Carlo Weingrill signature, a small star, the number "15", and the letters "VR". Though flexible, the bracelet remains naturally rigid when worn and would fit easily on a small to average sized wrist. This gooseneck cuff design has been emblematic of work from Carlos Weingrill throughout the decades and would make the perfect addition to any jewelry collection!
Measurements: The surface of the bracelet measures approximately 5/8" wide and is approximately 1/8" thick. The inside area (where a wrist would rest) measures 2 1/4" wide and 2" tall.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting.
