An alluring moonstone pendant compilation necklace from the Art Nouveau (ca1900s) era! This fabulous necklace is comprised of a glowing turn of the centure moonstone pendant which hangs from a modern 14kt yellow gold chain. The moonstone, which is particularly large is size, has been carved and polished into an elongated oval-shaped cabochon, exhibiting a glowing from within appearance. Strong blue and white "cat's eye" flashes emanate from the large translucent stone which is complemented by an 18kt yellow gold bail encrusted with three sparkling Full Cut diamonds. The pendant hangs from a contemporary 14kt yellow gold chain of oval links that create a twisting pattern, securing with a spring clasp in the back. This gorgeous pendant is sure to thrill any moonstone lover and the necklace would make a fabulous addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pendant hangs approximately 1 5/8" long, including the bail. The moonstone itself measures about 1 1/4" long, 1/2" wide, and a little more than 3/8" in depth. The chain measures 25" long.
Condition: The pendant necklace is in overall excellent condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to the pendant's bail. The moonstone has natural inclusions within the moonstone and a pin-sized chip near the bail, but these are not visible when worn and do not negatively impact the integrity or beauty of the piece. The chain and clasp are secure and in excellent condition.
