An outstanding engagement ring from the Art Deco era! This stunning piece is crafted in platinum and features a gorgeous old European Cut diamond resting in the center of an exquisite setting. The bezel set diamond weighs approximately .80ct and is positively radiant in person, exhibiting J/G color and SI1 clarity. An round shaped border of 17 calibrated french cut sapphires surrounds the diamond to form a spectacular gemstone halo complemented by a lovely milgrain frame. With approximately 0.65ctw in total, the square cut sapphires have stunning color, creating a seamless band of deep, vivid blue. Accenting the shoulders of the ring are two old european round cut diamonds weighing a combined estimated 0.20ctw, with H color, SI2-I1 clarity. Delicate engraving and milgrain detail complete the design, and encompasses the shoulders as well as the sides of the band and shank. The ring was appraised by an independent and accredited GIA-certified Graduate Gemologist in February of 2023 and has a stated retail replacement value of $17,000.00. Measurements: The ring has a finger size 6 1/2 but could be resized.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting and all of the diamonds are intact. Some sapphires show slight abrasion, commensurate with age, but nothing which is noticeable when the ring is worn, nor does it impact the integrity or beauty of the piece.
