An absolutely beautiful diamond and sapphire engagement ring from the Art Deco (ca1930s) era! Crafted in platinum, this ring features a central 1.62ct old European cut diamond held within a multi-prong setting. The diamond rests atop a square-shaped centerpiece, which is encrusted with sapphires and diamonds. Four "rays" extend from the diamond, and are decorated with small bead-set diamonds. The square-shaped centerpiece also features a border, which is comprised of both French and baguette cut sapphires. The sapphires exhibit a lovely deep blue hue, and are held within milgrained-bezel settings. Each shoulder of the ring features an additional small diamond, and the band is decorated with intricate foliage-motif etchings. The inside of the shank feature a purity mark which reads "PLATINUM". A magnificent piece, this ring would make a unique engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring is a size 8, but could be easily re-sized. The tapered band measures 1.8mm wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting. All of the diamonds and sapphires are secure and intact.
