A lovely diamond and sapphire ring from the late Art Deco (ca1930s) era! Crafted in 18k white gold, this feminine piece displays a wonderful filigree design within an ornate frame. A sparkling old mine cut diamond rests in a box setting at the center, flanked on the sides with two additional bead set mine cut diamonds and at the top and bottom by four smaller single cut diamonds. Accenting the centerpiece are four baguette cut sapphires framing the diamonds and intricate wirework designs and etchings that extend to the shoulders of the ring. The look is completed with a graduated polished band that tapers towards the back and the inside shank is stamped "18K". The ring's ornate frame, fine filigree wirework, and the gently engraved band strike a perfect balance, making for a wonderful addition to any Art Deco collection!
Measurements: The ring fits a finger size of 9.5 but could easily be resized. The central plaque measures just under 1/2" tall and 5/8" wide.
Condition: The ring is in excellent antique condition. All of the diamonds and the sapphire are intact and securely set. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the white gold setting.
