Victorian 14kt Amethyst & Etruscan Bead Necklace
A wonderful beaded necklace from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This beautiful design is comprised of graduated amethyst and gold beads, which form a lovely alternating pattern. The natural amethyst beads have lovely shades of purple and are beautifully faceted, catching the light at every turn. Each gold bead has wonderful applied Etruscan wirework details that create dimension and texture. The necklace is hand strung on fine chain and fastens with a spring ring clasp in the back, stamped "14K." When worn, it drapes beautifully at the neckline and makes a lovely statement. The simplicity of the design is very wearable, making this a perfect everyday accessory!
Measurements: The necklace measures 17.5" long. The largest amethyst bead measures 8mm in size, and the smallest measures 4.5mm. The largest Etruscan bead measures 7mm in size, and the smallest measures 4mm.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the amethyst or gold Etruscan beads, all of which are securely strung. The clasp fastens securely and is in good working condition.
