Edwardian 9kt/14kt Synthetic Sapphire + Diamond Stud Earrings
Tax excluded. Shipping calculated at checkout
A lovely pair of stud earrings from the Edwardian (ca1910s) era! Crafted in 9kt white gold with a 14kt post, each earring displays a vibrant synthetic blue sapphire within a raised claw setting. Seven sparkling old Mine Cut diamonds surround the sapphire in a cluster design, their setting decorated by light-reflecting engraving and scalloped wirework prongs. Collectively between both ears, the sapphires weigh approximately 0.40ctw while the diamonds weigh around 0.56ctw in total. Each stud is finished with a 14kt white gold screw-back post and matching backing, allowing the earrings to securely fit to the ear. These unique earrings would look beautiful worn at any time of day!
Measurements: The stud earrings measure slightly more than 3/8" in diameter and are nearly 5/16" deep.
Condition: The earrings are in overall very good antique condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the white gold setting. There is a small chip in one of the diamonds, but it is not visible to the naked eye and does not negatively impact the beauty or integrity of the design. The earring posts and backings are secure and in good working condition.
