A beautiful diamond engagement ring from the Art Deco (ca1920s) era! The ring was made by Newark New Jersey maker WhiteHouse Bros. The ring is crafted in platinum and centers on a sparkling Old European Cut diamond. The glittering diamond weighs approximately 1.00ct and displays L color and VS1 clarity. The diamond is held within a lovely North-East-South-West setting. Four five-petaled flowers grace the gallery of the ring and are each set with a Single Cut diamond in the center of the ring which separate the flowers on each side. Feminine cutouts decorate the shoulders while two old full cut stones run down each side of the ring. The ring tapers into a smooth, polished band and had faded "PLAT” and “W” hallmarks stamped inside the shank. The ring was appraised by an independent accredited GIA-certified Gemologist with a stated retail replacement value of $7,500.00 in February of 2024. A delicate and glamorous motif, this ring would be a spectacular engagement ring.
Measurements: The ring fits a finger size of 6.5 but can easily be resized. When worn, the ring rests approximately 5/16" above the finger.
Condition: The ring is in excellent condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting. The diamond is intact and securely set.
