A fabulous hand-wrought chain from the Victorian (ca1880s) era! This stunning chain is crafted in sterling silver, and is composed of two distinct alternating links. The first variety of link resembles a six-petaled flower, with each petal featuring intricate filigree work. The center of each flower is represented by a smooth and simple three-dimensional ball. The second variety of link is rectangular in shape, and is also decorated with scrolling filigree-motif work. The center of each rectangular link features a small sterling silver flower. The links are connected to one another by small ellipse-shaped connectors. The lengthy chain does not feature any clasp or closure mechanism, as the necklace can easily be slipped over the head and doubled. A wonderful and intricate piece, this necklace would make a lovely addition to any Victorian-era collection!
Measurements: The necklace measures 30" long.
Condition: The overall condition of the chain necklace is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the sterling silver links, and all of the delicate filigree detailing is intact and free of any damage.
