Art Nouveau Sterling Repousse Slide Mirror Pendant

A fabulous sterling silver piece from the Late Victorian (ca1900) era! Made of sterling silver, this wonderful and unusual pendant is particularly large in size and oval in shape. It is hinged at the top where it slides open to reveal two compartments on each side holding a mirror. Each side of the pendant is elaborately detailed with a gorgeous floral motif, crafted in a raised repousse design. Both sides are unique and equally beautiful, making it the piece reversible and wonderfully versatile. The back of the pendant is marked with three small hallmarks near the bail at the top. It's a stunning and unusual piece and would make a marvelous addition to any jewelry collection!

Measurements: The slide mirror pendant hangs approximately 3 3/8" long, is 2" wide, and 1/2" thick.

Condition: The overall condition of the piece is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the silver and the slide feature is in good working condition. The bail and both mirrors are intact. One of the mirrors shows some signs of age because it is original, however this is not noticeable when worn.
