An absolutely gorgeous diamond engagement ring from the Edwardian (ca1926) era! Made in France, this beautiful piece is crafted in 18kt yellow gold and has a classic solitaire design. A stunning old Mine Cushion Cut diamond rests in a platinum prong setting at the center of the band, creating a fabulous two-tone appeal. The sparkling stone weighs approximately 0.45ct and displays J-K range color and SI1 clarity, catching the light beautifully with every turn. A smooth band flanks the stone, graduating slightly towards the back where two French touchmarks of an owl and The Mask, indicating its gold and platinum purity. The ring looks stunning when worn and would make an incredible engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 7.5 but it could easily be re-sized. The ring rests approximately 1/4" above the finger when worn. The graduated band measures about 2mm at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and platinum setting and the diamond is secure and intact.
