A fabulous multi-gemstone ring from the Early Retro (ca1930s) period! This gorgeous piece, which is crafted in sterling silver, is comprised of a single cabochon opal stone surrounded by a border of six sparkling multi-colored stones. The accent stones include four amethysts, two of which are teardrop in shape and two that are round, and two round citrines. The stones come together to form one extremely large cluster that is navette shaped. All of the natural gemstones are bezel set and each has wonderful, vibrant color, complimenting the iridescent and colorful opal center beautifully. In between the stones is ornate sterling wirework and found along the sides is a fabulous floral motif. A ridged band completes the design and the underside of the mounting has nice curvature, allowing it to fit comfortably on the finger. This wonderful piece is fun to wear and would make a great addition to any collection!
