An incredible diamond engagement ring from the late Art Deco (ca1930s) era! This stunning platinum ring holds a sparkling 6.29ctw Transitional Cut round diamond at the center. The diamond is prong set and has L/M color and VS1 clarity. A delicate halo of accent diamonds encompass the large center stone and carry down the shoulders of the band. Additionally, vibrant Trillion Cut sapphires and Baguette Cut diamonds rest on either side of the brilliant center stone, perfectly completing the stunning design. Fine scrolling wirework can be seen from the sides and the shank is stamped "10% IRID PLAT." Each accent stone is micro-prong set and milgrained details can be found throughout the gorgeous setting. The ring was appraised by an independent and accredited GIA-certified Graduate Gemologist in May, 2022. When worn, the ring is positively radiant, delivering a spectacular sparkle. It would make a very special vintage engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 6.25, but could easily be resized if desired. The center stone rests approximately 1/4" above the finger when worn. The tapered band measures 1.5mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting or to any of the diamond or sapphires, all of which are intact and securely set.
