A simply stunning sapphire and diamond ring from the late Art Deco (ca1930) era! This fantastic platinum piece adorns an incredible natural star sapphire cabochon at the center of a gorgeous setting. The stone weighs approximately 4.50ctw and displays a wonderful, rich blue color. In the center, is a star that is faint but can be seen when it catches the light. Because of the difficulty to capture the star in a photograph, it's not as noticeable in the images. The sapphire is prong set within a platinum setting, and is surrounding at each shoulder with 2 baguettes and 4 Trillion Cut diamonds. A smoothly polished band wraps around the back and stamped inside of the shank is a “10%IRIDPLAT" purity mark. It looks absolutely stunning on and would make a perfect addition to any collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 5.75, but could easily be resized if desired. The face of the ring measures slightly more than 1/2" wide, 3/8” tall, and sits 3/8” above the finger when worn.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the star sapphire or to the platinum and the sapphire and all of the diamonds are intact.
