A wonderful and very decorative pin from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This sterling silver piece forms the shape of a three-dimensional lizard, whose body is encrusted in sparkling French paste stones. The pin is highly detailed, including webbed feet, a long curved tail, a slithering tongue, and red stones depicting its eyes. An etched pattern on the outside surface represents scales and adds further texture to the design. The underside of the pin reveals a secure bar pin clasp, allowing it to be fastened to a favorite garment. A wonderful and very eye-catching piece, it would make a charming addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pin measures 2 1/8" long, approximately 3/4" wide, and is 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the pin is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling setting, and all of the French paste stones are intact. The pin clasp is secure and in good working condition.
