A beautiful ruby and diamond ring from the late Art Deco (ca1930s) era! Crafted in 14kt yellow and white gold, this lovely piece holds a stunning ruby cabochon at its center. The stone, which is smoothly polished and weighs approximately 1.00ctw, displays a vivid pinkish red color and is surrounded by a sparkling diamond halo, a perfect compliment to the vibrant center. The diamonds are Single Cut stones, and are prong set within white gold in petal-like border, weighing approximately 0.20ctw combined. Completing the design is a smooth gold band with cathedral style shoulders, and a wirework gallery below the centerpiece. A gorgeous piece, it would look wonderful worn on special occasions, or could make a unique gemstone engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 4.5, but could easily be resized if desired. The ruby and diamond centerpiece measures 1/2" tall, 3/8" wide, and rests about 1/4" above the finger when worn. The band measures 1.5mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, or to the ruby and diamond centerpiece. All of the stones are intact, securely set, and free of any apparent chips or scratches.
