A unique pair of earrings from the Retro (ca 1940s) era! Crafted in 14kt yellow gold, these earrings display a striking black jade half-moon in a polished bezel setting. A teardrop-shaped hoop hangs below the surmount, embellished with wonderful curves of black jade, accented by three Single Cut diamonds on each side. The two-sided design differs ever so slightly, with the black jade and diamonds placed in complementary spaces. A carved green jade gourd dangles in the center of the double-sided hoop, displaying lovely shades of light green and white marbling. Simple earring posts and hinged omega backings secure the pair to the ear. This beautiful pair makes a marvelous statement, and the earrings would be perfect for any jade collector!
Measurements: The earrings hang approximately 2 1/4" in length. They measure 1" at their widest points, and more than 1/4" deep.
Condition: The earrings are in excellent condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. The black jade stones are free of chips and scratches and are securely set. All of the diamonds are intact and secure. lt set. The green jade gourds are intact and securely set.
