Edwardian Platinum Diamond Filigree Pendant 0.40ctw
An exquisite diamond filigree pendant from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! Crafted in platinum, this oval-shaped piece is embellished with sparkling old Mine Cut diamonds nestled among feminine filigree wirework. Resting at the center in a bezel setting is a gorgeous 0.25ct diamond framed by a web-like wirework pattern that branches out from all sides. A flowing wirework border wraps around the perimeter, embellished with 12 additional micro-prong set stones, that along with the center diamond, collectively weigh 0.40ctw. Soft milgrained details accent the entire piece, and the feminine wirework creates beautiful shapely cut-outs. The pendant hangs vertically from a hidden bail at the back, perfect for pairing with a favorite chain. This stunning pendant would look perfect worn on special occasions, or could make a unique everyday statement piece!
Measurement: The pendant measures approximately 1 1/2" tall, 5/8" wide, and 1/8" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting. All of the diamonds are intact and securely set. The hidden bail is secure and in good condition.
