Edwardian Platinum/14kt Sapphire + Diamond Ring 1.25ct center
An outstanding sapphire and diamond ring from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! Crafted in 14kt yellow gold and platinum, this mixed metals piece adorns a stunning sapphire at the center of a sparkling diamond border. The oval-shaped sapphire weighs approximately 1.25ct, and exhibits an wonderful shade of deep blue that is beautiful in person. A border of old Mine Cut diamonds surrounds the center stone, forming a complimentary sparkling array. Collectively, the diamonds weigh approximately 0.50ctw, and display estimated H/I range color and SI range clarity and completing the design is a smooth gold shank. A spectacular ring, it would look stunning worn on special occasions, and could make an exquisite gemstone engagement piece!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 6.75, but could be easily be resized. The sapphire and diamond centerpiece measures a little more than 3/8" wide and 1/2" tall size, and rests just over 1/4" above the finger when worn. The gold band measures approximately 1.5mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and platinum setting. The sapphire and diamonds are all intact and securely set.
