Early Victorian Sterling/14kt Rose Cut Diamond "ER" Monogrammed Pin/Pendant
An absolutely exquisite monogrammed diamond pin/pendant from the Early Victorian (ca1850s) era! Crafted in sterling topped 14kt yellow gold, this stunning piece forms the shape of the overlapping monogrammed initials "ER". The letters are beautifully ornate, written in a curling fancy script, and the surface is adorned with approximately 1.45ctw of old Rose Cut diamonds. The stones are prong set in an open-backed setting allowing them to truly sparkle in the light. The piece is particularly substantial in size and looks wonderful when worn. Found on the yellow gold back is a removable pin mechanism, attached by a secure screw, and a hidden bail at the top. The removable pin clasp allows for the versatility of wearing the piece as a pin attached to your favorite garment or as a pendant paired with a favorite chain. A fantastic piece, it would make a wonderful keepsake and a special addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pin/pendant measures approximately 1 5/8" tall, 1 1/2" wide, and 1/8" thick excluding the bail and pin attachment.
Condition: The overall condition of the pin/pendant is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the silver and gold setting or to the diamonds, all of which are intact. The double bail and pin attachment are in excellent working condition.
