CARTIER Vintage 14kt Old Mine Cut Diamond Square Head Nail Pendant
A stylish Vintage diamond nail pendant from the 1970s by the legendary fashion house Cartier! The square head nail design has its origins in the equestrian world, being modeled after the nails used to hold the horse's shoe in place. Crafted in 14kt yellow gold, this fabulous piece forms the shape of an elongated equestrian inspired nail, and is smoothly polished on all sides. Adorning the nail head is a sparkling old Mine Cut diamond which beautifully catches the light with every turn. Attached at the back of the nail head is a hidden bail, and stamped nearby is the signature "CARTIER" hallmark, "R14K" gold purity mark, and the number "1000." A fashionable piece by the legendary designer, it makes a perfect everyday pendant and would appeal to any equestrian enthusiast!
Measurements: The pendant measures slightly less than 1 3/4" long, slightly more than 1/4" wide, and is about 1/16" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the yellow gold setting. The diamond is intact and securely set. The bail is secure and in good working condition.
