Art Deco Sterling Silver White Topaz Necklace
An absolutely gorgeous necklace from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This fabulous piece, which is crafted in sterling silver, is comprised of 26 beautifully faceted white topaz stones. Each sparkling stone is oval in shape and fairly large size, catching the light wonderfully when worn. The necklace is completed with a strand of simple sterling chain at the back which attaches to a silver spring clasp marked "925". Necklaces that carry this design and are from this era, are typically set with rock quartz crystals, however, these stones have been tested and indeed identify as white topaz. The interesting horizontal setting of the oval-shaped stones combined with their unique faceting, gives the necklace a stunning look when worn. It drapes beautifully along the necklace and would be a striking addition to any collection!
Measurements: The entire length of the necklace measures approximately 16.5". Each crystal measures approximately 3/8" wide, slightly less than 3/8" tall and 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of this necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling setting or to any of the white topaz stones, all of which are intact. The clasp is secure and in good working condition.
