Vintage American Indian Sterling & Turquoise Teardrop Fringe Earrings
A beautiful pair of vintage American Indian earrings from the 1950s! Crafted in sterling silver, the earrings have an elongated chandelier design comprised of teardrop-shaped links. Natural turquoise stones are bezel set throughout each earring, adding a wonderful pop of color in shades of sky blue and sea green. An applied patina gives the background of each link a darkened appearance, adding further contrast between the colorful stones and polished silver edges. Three teardrop links hang freely from the base, forming a stylish fringe. Completing the design are complimentary surmounts, with sterling posts hidden on the back. When worn, the earrings frame the face beautifully, dangling with lovely movement. A wonderful pair of vintage earrings, they are perfect for the American Indian jewelry collector!
Measurements: The earrings hang 2 3/4" long, measure 3/8" at the widest point, and are about 1/16" thick.
Condition: The earrings are in excellent vintage condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling silver setting. All of the turquoise stones are intact and securely set. The patina is a normal part of the design, adding further depth to the appearance.
