Victorian Gold-Filled Filigree Link Chain 60"
A gorgeous gold-filled chain from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This fancy chain is comprised of delicate filigree links, which alternate with strands of chain to form a long, flowing necklace. At the center of the chain is an oversized spring ring clasp, which makes it easy to attach a complimentary pendant or locket if desired. A small connecting link beside the clasp is marked "DORE AU MERCURE." The generous length of the chain can be easily slipped on and off overhead, and doubled or tripled for a stylish layered look. A versatile and beautifully made piece, and would make a lovely everyday accessory!
Measurements: The entire length of the chain measures 60" long. The spring ring clasp has a 3/4" diameter.
Condition: The overall condition of the chain is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold-filled filigree links or to the clasp, which is secure and in good working condition. There is a natural patina on the surface of the chain, which is a normal characteristic of antique jewelry.
