Late Victorian Silver Gilt & Enamel Hinged Bangle Bracelet
An incredible enameled bracelet from the late Victorian (ca1900) era! Made of silver gilt, this gorgeous bangle boasts a colorful enameled motif that carries seamlessly around the exterior. The pattern includes unique geometric influences that may be French or Romanesque inspired. Included in the pattern are rich shades of blue, red, white, green, black and gold. The bracelet features 3 curved panels, and is hinged in two places, opening at a push clasp in the center. A very stylish bracelet, it would stack nicely with other complimentary bangles. This unusual antique bracelet would make a fabulous addition to any jewelry collection!
Measurements: The inside of the bracelet (where a wrist would rest) measures 2 1/4" wide and approximately 2" tall, and would fit nicely on an average sized wrist. The surface of the bangle measures approximately 1/2" wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gilded silver setting. The enameled motif remains very well-preserved, with no significant chips or scratches. The hinges and clasp are secure and in good working condition. A few light etched marks can be found on the bracelet's interior, but are not visible when worn.
