Known for her unusual and quality jewelry design, Elizabeth Locke travels the world to collect antique and ancient coins, intaglios, seals and stones and incorporates them into a modern piece of jewelry. Each of her pieces is individually designed by Locke and handmade.

A fabulous signed Estate intaglio ring by Elizabeth Locke! This unique and interesting piece is crafted in vibrant 18kt yellow gold and features a carnelian at the center, with an intaglio image carved into the surface. The wonderful hand-carved image depicts an exquisite open-winged bee, with detailed imagery that includes a textured, striped body and fine hair along its six legs. The carnelian stone itself is square in shape and particularly large in size, carrying rich, deep orange color. It has a slightly convex face and is bezel set in the hammered yellow gold setting and a split band and four gold beads accent the shoulders of the ring, perfectly completing the design. The shank carries the Elizabeth Locke "EL" hallmark and is also stamped "18K." This artistic piece looks gorgeous in person and would make a special addition to any collection!

Measurements: The ring has a finger size 6.5 but could be resized if desired. The carnelian centerpiece measures a little less than 7/8" wide and 7/8" tall and when worn, the ring rests a little more than 1/4" atop the finger.

Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or to the carnelian intaglio which remains intact and free of any chips or scratches.
