Art Nouveau English 18kt Burmese Ruby & Diamond Ring 1.15ctw
A beautiful English gemstone ring from the Art Nouveau (ca1915) era! Crafted in 18kt gold, the ring features three luscious natural Burmese rubies, which are accented with delicate mine cut diamonds. The center ruby is oval in shape, weighing approximately .65ct, while the outer two rubies are cushion cut stones weighing approximately .25ct each. At either shoulder of the ring is a scrolled detail carved into the gold band, a wonderful finishing touch. Stamped inside the shank are several English hallmarks, including a gold purity "18" mark, a shield (indicating that the piece was assayed in Chester), and a cursive letter "S" (indicating that it was hallmarked in the year 1915). Additionally, there is what remains of a set of maker's initials inside, now faded due to wear, as well as the number "357". This gorgeous gemstone ring would make a stunning addition to any jewelry collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 6.25, but could be resized. The tapered band measures 2mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. The rubies and accent diamonds are intact and securely set.
