SKU: 39492

$4,395

This beautiful diamond bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880) era has a simple, yet stunning design! French in origin, this piece is crafted in sterling silver topped 18kt yellow gold, and has a slightly graduating band with a hinge at the side. Lining the front of the bracelet are beautiful old Rose Cut diamonds in a closed foil back setting, weighing approximately 3.00ctw combined. The belcher set diamonds vary considerably in size, color, and clarity, with the largest center stone resting in the middle (approximately .40ct in size). Each diamond has a beautiful sparkle, with some of the stones displaying light natural shades of champagne, cognac, and pale rosy pink undertones. A push clasp fastens the bracelet at the side, where a safety chain provides additional security when worn. Stamped on the tongue of the clasp are several hallmarks, including the French horse head indicating its gold purity and that it was assayed outside of Paris. An exquisite antique piece, it would make a very special addition to any Victorian collection!

Measurements: The inside of the bracelet (where a wrist would rest) measures approximately 2 1/4" wide and 2" tall. It would fit nicely on a medium/average sized wrist. The surface of the bracelet measures 6mm wide at the front, and 4mm wide at the back.

Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the silver-topped gold setting or to the diamonds, all of which are intact and securely set. The clasp and safety chain are secure and in good working condition. There is a natural untouched patina on the surface of the setting, which is normal and adds to the beauty and unique character of the piece. The diamonds vary naturally in appearance, attributed to their age and natural characteristics.
