A fabulous Vintage ring from circa 1956! Crafted in sterling silver, this Swedish made piece features an alluring moonstone cabochon set at the center of a bold setting. The moonstone rests within a two-tiered bezel and has a total approximate weight of 20ctw. The substantial stone exhibits a soft translucence with subtle flashes of blue and is completed by a wide, tapering band. The inside of the ring is stamped with "VGE", "A", three crowns, "S", and "F9 (slightly obscured)", indicating its creation in 1956 by S. Nilsson in Sweden. This ring has a bold look, and would be a wonderful addition to any moonstone collection!
Measurements: The ring fits a finger size of 7 1/4 but could easily be resized. The central moonstone, including its two-tiered bezel, measures just under 1" tall and slightly more than 3/4" wide. When worn, the ring rests just under 1/2" atop the finger. The band tapers from 14mm wide at the shoulders to 5.5mm in the back.
Condition: The ring is in excellent overall condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling silver setting. The moonstone is intact and securely set.
