Victorian French 18kt + Diamond Buckle Stacked Band Ring
A unique and gorgeous diamond band ring from the Victorian (ca1838-1919) era! French in origin, this unusual 18kt rose gold piece is comprised of 3 stacked bands that connect together at the back. Adorning the front of each band is a Single Cut diamond at the center of 3-dimensional buckle motif. The sparkling stones rest in a raised prong setting, closely resembling a 5 point star that is visible from the front. Resting on either side of the diamond is a looped buckle, complete with realistic "notches" and a yellow gold belt frame, creating a wonderful two-tone appeal. The diamond buckles rest on top of each other in an angled fashion, a wonderful visual effect! The smooth bands taper slightly towards the back where a faded touchmark is found beside a French touchmark of a horse head dating the piece to between 1838-1919. This incredible and unique ring has a stylish look that blends seamlessly into modern day fashion!
Measurements: The ring is a finger size 7, but could be resized slightly if desired. The stacked diamond buckle centerpiece measures approximately 1/2" tall and 3/4" wide, and rests 1/8" above the finger when worn. The row of stacked bands measures 7mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting and all of the diamonds are intact and securely set.
