Art Deco Platinum "Hearts Motif" Diamond Engagement Ring 1.67ct
An exquisite diamond engagement ring from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This beautiful platinum ring holds an old European Cut diamond at the center of a filigree "hearts" mounting. The diamond weighs 1.67ct and has I color and SI1 clarity. Surrounding the stone is a filigree wirework pattern with a romantic hearts motif, creating a feminine and lacy appearance. Decorating the sides and shoulders are 6 additional accent diamonds, which add further sparkle! Fine engraving travels along the band, which tapers in gracefully as it nears the back. This ring was appraised by an independent and accredited GIA-certified Graduate Gemologist in October 2017, and has a stated retail replacement value of $17,500.00 It looks positively gorgeous when worn, and would make a spectacular vintage engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 5.75 but it could easily be re-sized. The diamond centerpiece rests approximately 1/4" above the finger when worn. The tapered band measures 1mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting or filigree hearts motif. All of the diamonds are intact and securely set.
