Late Art Deco French Platinum 4.30ct Natural Ceylon Sapphire Diamond Ring

SKU: 41129

$16,995

An absolutely fantastic natural sapphire and diamond ring from the late Art Deco (ca1930s) era! The ring, which is crafted in platinum and French in origin, displays a natural sapphire set within a bold and striking mounting. The natural Ceylon (Sri Lankan) stone is faceted and oval in shape, exhibiting exquisite, vibrant blue color. With a total approximate weight of 4.30ctw, the stone is bezel set and encased by a flat table top surface and surrounded by sparkling old European Cut diamonds throughout its very bold setting. The platinum mounting has a very geometric Deco-inspired motif which is heavy in weight and appearance. The sides and shoulders display a stylish step-up design which are lined in sparkling diamonds and collectively, the overall approximate diamond weight of the ring is 2.05ctw. The ring, which is of French origin, has the platinum "mask" touch mark on the underside of the band. The sapphire was graded by the AGL (American Gemological Laboratories) in April 2018 and is stated to be a Natural Corundum Sapphire of Ceylon (Sri Lankan) origin and exhibits no evidence of heating or clarity enhancement. It's an absolutely magnificent ring and would make a perfect cocktail ring for any collection!

Measurements: Because of the horseshoe collar, the size of the ring has some give, and could fit anywhere from approximately a size 6.5-7.5, however, a finger size 7 is probably ideal. It could be resized if desired.

Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting or to the sapphire and all of the diamonds are intact. The horseshoe collar is secure and intact.
