Victorian Sterling + Moonstone Crescent Pendant Necklace
A lovely moonstone pendant conversion necklace from the Victorian (ca1880s)! Crafted in sterling silver, this necklace adorns eleven graduated moonstone cabochons within a crescent-shaped, low-profile belcher prong setting. The moonstones display wonderful flashes of blue and silver, illuminated from within.The pendant is hung East to West rather than vertically, a variation that is both unique and stylish, and attaches at either side to a sterling silver round cable chain. The chain is secured by a small lobster clasp marked "925" on its tongue. This celestial necklace is perfect for any moonstone lover!
Measurements: The necklace measures approximately 16 1/2" long. The crescent measures 2 1/4" wide and 1/4" tall at the largest moonstone cabochon.
Condition: The necklace is overall in very good condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling silver setting. All of the moonstones are intact and securely set.
