Edwardian 15kt/Platinum Petite Old Rose Cut Diamond Pig Charm Pendant
An absolutely lovely diamond pig charm pendant from the Edwardian (ca1910s) era! This wonderful piece is crafted of platinum-topped 15kt yellow gold and portrays a petite potbelly pig, whose body is encrusted with sparkling old Rose Cut diamonds. The pig has wonderful character, including an adorably curled tail, an extended snout, floppy gold ears and stocky legs. The diamonds range in size and are pavé set in an open-backed setting and a single red gemstone represents the animal's eye. The underside of the piece reveals a smooth gold base which is stamped with a "15CT" gold purity mark. A gold loop for hanging at the top completes the design, ready to be worn as a small pendant on a chain, or hung from a favorite charm bracelet. It would make a special addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pig charm hangs a little less than 5/8" long (including the ring for hanging), and measures just under 3/4" wide.
Condition: The overall condition of the charm is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum-topped gold setting or to any of the diamond stones, all of which are intact. The ring for hanging is secure and in good condition.
