Late Art Deco Graduating Natural Amber Bead Necklace 34"

SKU: 40307

$795
A fabulous strand of amber beads from the late Art Deco (ca1930) era! This wonderful necklace is comprised of vibrant amber beads, which are hand-strung to form an extra long necklace. The beads have a wonderful, rich color and vary in size, with the largest beads in the center and the smallest towards the back. Each carries a fairly consistent, deep orange color with some faint variations, however, collectively the beads are strung in almost a ombre´ style with darker beads towards the back which fade into the lightest beads at the center. Strung on simple orange thread, the piece hangs long and fastens in the back at a gold plated sterling spring clasp. The generous length of the necklace and the fabulous, rich color of the beads give this necklace a fantastic appearance. A stylish statement piece, it would make a great addition to any collection!

Measurements: The largest bead, which is in the center of the strand, measures approximately 13mm in diameter while the smallest measures 4mm in diameter. The overall length of the necklace measures approximately 34". In total, the beads have a weight of 32.6 grams.

Condition: The overall condition of this necklace is great. A few of the small amber beads have some chips, which is not uncommon for a Deco era piece and is not noticeable when worn. The beads are all intact and the stringing is in fine condition.
