Art Deco Platinum/14kt Diamond Engagement Ring 0.25ctw
A beautiful diamond engagement ring from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! The ring is crafted in 14kt gold and topped in platinum, creating a lovely mixed metals appearance. At the center is a sparkling old European Cut diamond resting securely in a 4-prong setting. The diamond weighs approximately 0.25ctw, and has estimated H-I range color and VS2 range clarity. Lining the shoulders of the ring are an additional six Single Cut diamonds, which are the perfect sparkling compliment to the center stone! The accent diamonds are bead set in platinum, extending to an engraved chevron where the band transitions to yellow gold. The gold band features a soft knife-edge shank, and tapers slightly as it nears the back. When worn, this Art Deco ring displays a classic and timeless appearance that would make a stunning engagement piece in the modern day!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 6.75, but could be easily re-sized. When worn, the diamond rests about 3/16" above the finger. The tapered band measures 3mm wide at the shoulders, and 2mm wide at the back.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum and gold mixed metals setting. All of the diamonds are intact and securely set.
